No subnet declaration for eth0 (xx.xx.xx.xx) how to fix

symptom

#server dhcpd start — service will fail

#tailf /var/log/message –> check log file

No subnet declaration for eth0 (xx.xx.xx.xx)

Solution

DHCP networking information is wrong in /etc/dhcp/dhcpd.conf..network information like subnet or gateway ip or subnet is mention wrong in the file

subnet 192.168.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
option routers 192.168.0.1;
