This issue happened in Linux VM Machine .For this you have to verify below 4 things

  • Check DHCP Server service is running
  • verify dhcp client entry available in /etc/dhcp/dhcpd.conf

#service dhcpd status

#systemctl status dhcpd

  • Check VM Network card connection established
  • Check VM Interface MAC address
  • Check VM Network settings correct VLAN choosed
